This is a modern adaptation of Moliere by James Macgruder.  It is a marvelous version that retains some of the fun dancing and singing interludes of the original written over 300 years ago.

Director Tom Murdock said he chose to do Invalid after re-reading it over the summer and became intrigued with its relevance to today’s headlines. Though written in the17th century the material is as fresh as ever. If you have ever thought about getting involved in a COS Main Stage production, and you have your evenings free this spring, this would be the one to audition for.

Auditions will be held February 8 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and February 9 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm in the Kenneth W. Ford Theater. Over 13 roles are available, and the Theatre Department encourages all actors to audition, regardless of age, ethnicity or experience level. Those auditioning should prepare (memorize and rehearse) a one minute monologue from a play and be prepared to tell a joke.
