Photos taken Saturday, January 14 at the Weed Elementary School boys tournament by Sarah Gross.

Sisson defeated Jackson St 14-9. Sisson went on to place 2nd at the Elks “B” Tourney. Jackson St. finished 3rd.

The Jackson Street Rams defeated the McCloud Hawks in the first round of the Yreka Elks “B” Basketball Tournament, 20-16.

Rams won the 8th grade game, 28-9, and 7th grade 24-10.

Here are a couple of thoughts. First, learn the fundamentals. Learn to pivot, pass, rebound, dribble, shoot and play defense. Second, learn to make a layup before you spend your warm up time chucking 3-pointers. If you can’t make a layup at least 90% of the time in a game, then you have no business even thinking about 3-pointers in practice, warm ups, on the play ground, or in a game.
