Photos are of 5-7 year old Junior Giants taken Thursday, July 28, 2011. Junior Giants is a co-ed non-competitive program run by the Mt. Shasta Recreation District. It is free to participants. This year’s program has about 135 players.

Shasta Recreation and Parks District will once again be offering the Junior Giants, a free non-competitive baseball program for girls and boys. The season starts July 5, 2011, with sign ups beginning June 6 at the Mt. Shasta Recreation District Office, located at 1315 Nixon Rd/Mt. Shasta City Park. The program is designed to have fun, while learning confidence, integrity, leadership, and teamwork.

Editor’s note: I’ve been following this for the past three years or so and it is really a cool program, especially for the younger ones.
