MOUNT SHASTA – The Scott Valley Junior High Lady Panthers basketball teams won both the 7^th grade and 8^th grade games against the Sisson Lady Cubs on Wednesday. The Panther 8^th graders won 35-24, and the 7^th graders won 38-14.

In the early game, the Sisson 7^th graders took an early 6-2 lead. However, near the end of the first quarter, the Panthers upped the defensive pressure with a full court press that created several turnovers. Scott Valley rattled off eight straight points to lead 10-6 at the end of the quarter. The Panthers added another ten points in the second quarter behind strong rebounding, to lead 20-10 at the half.
