Harley Williams and Kaitlyn Bergquist were crowned King and Queen prior to the start of the Weed Cougars versus Dunsmuir Tigers Homecoming game.
Alex Nonthavong and Manvir Sandhu were selected prince and princess.
Weed won the football game 56-8.

Cougars nip Indians 14-6

The Weed Cougars moved to 2-0 with a 14-6 win over the visiting Greenville Indians (2-1) on Friday night.
Bil Bedzyk returned a kick 50 yards for a Cougar touchdown, and Alex Guzman threw to Harley Williams for a TD. Rob Berg added safety to the Weed total.
Weed hosts Dunsmuir next Friday.

The Weed Cougars volleyball squad swept the visiting Dunsmuir Tigers on Thursday night 25-21, 25-15, 25-16.
A week or so ago at home, the Tigers took out the Cougars in three sets 25-21, 25-20, 25-11.

Cougars roll over Tigers

The Weed Cougars rolled over the Tigers, 70-8, in Dunsmuir on Friday night.
Lennoux Guzman recorded three touchdowns for Weed. Robby Berg and Alex Guzman notched two TDs a piece. Harley Williams, Bil Bedzyk and Chris Brigham each found the end zone once.
Weed (1-0) hosts Herlong (0-1) next Saturday.

The Etna varsity girls team finished 2nd at the 2017 NSCIF D-IV Tarck & Field Finals, held at West Valley on Friday. The Etna boys were 4th. The Tulelake girls took 3rd.
