y-ad-1-click.jpgThe Siskiyou Knights Junior Midgets are headed to the post season after a 27–25 victory over the Anderson Cubs last Saturday. The difference was points after touchdown. the Knights converted 3 of 4 while Anderson missed all but one, including a 2 point kick that was blocked.

The Knights trailed 19–13 at halftime and came out ready to play in the second half. The Knights took the lead 20-19 in the 3rd quarter and added another score in the 4th quarter to make it 27-19. Anderson came back to score a touchdown to make it 27 -25, then lined up to kick a 2-point conversion. Knights defense dug deep, had great penetration, and blocked the kick. The Knights then traded possessions with Anderson, had a great defensive stand, and ended the game with a kneel-down. With this victory, the Knights advance to the playoffs where they go against the Colusa Cowboys this Saturday, 2:00 PM in Yuba City at Yuba City High School. (more…)

coffee-break-b.jpgThe Siskiyou Knights will host the Yreka Chargers this Saturday at Mt Shasta High School in a Siskiyou County North/South rivalry that is sure to be exciting.

The Knights traveled to Corning last Saturday and did not fair well against the Lions in a record high 108° day. The Knights were tested this day and showed they have more heart than any team taking the field against them. They continue to improve and build character. (more…)

y-ad-1-click.jpgThe Siskiyou Knights traveled to Willows on Saturday to take on the Coyotes. The first two games were in the morning where fans were treated to football played by six through nine year olds. The Mighty Mite and Junior Pee Wee levels are truly instructional but very exciting to watch as these Knights continue to learn the game.

Things began to heat up in the afternoon—both the football and temperature. The Pee Wee game was a hard fought defensive battle. Both sides held each other scoreless throughout most of the game and you knew it was going to come down to the end. The Knights fell short 6-0 when Willows scored the only points of the game with 1:10 left to play. (more…)

Sign-ups have already begun and equipment is being ordered. The Siskiyou Knights are gearing up for another exciting season of youth football. This year we are adding a 5th team to the program, the “Mighty Mites”, ages 6 and 7 (45 to 85 pounds). This team will be in addition to our Midget, Junior Midget, Pee Wee, and Junior Pee Wee teams with kids up through the 8th grade. These teams are made up of both Cheerleaders and Football players.
