Yreka Miner soccer standouts Trevor Daugherty and Noah Lawson will be putting on a soccer camp from July 11 – July 14 at Lower Greenhorn Park in Yreka. The camp is the players’ senior project.

Daugherty and Lawson are both 3-year varsity players for the Miners. Daugherty will be handling the Striker/Midfielder part of the camp. Lawson will do the goalie/defense portion.

The camp will run from 9:00 am – 11:00 am for U-4, U-6, and U-8. Noon to 3:00 pm will be U-10, U-12, and U-14.

The cost for the camp is $40 and includes a camp T-Shirt. Campers will need to bring shin guards. Cleats are recommended but not mandatory.  Campers should also bring a ball if the they have one, and a water bottle.

Editors note: Trevor and Noah are two of the best high school players in Siskiyou County. This should be great camp for younger players.

A Challenger British Soccer Camp for ages 10-18 will be held June 13-17, 2011 at the Scott Valley Junior High School field.

The Evangelical Free Church of Mt. Shasta sponsored the TEAMWorks! Soccer Camp this week in Mount Shasta. The camp, which is based on Christian values, drew 94 participants. The players, ranging from four to 11 years old, had the opportunity to build soccer skills, as well as character and life skills.

A Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp is being held this week in Etna. The camp for 10-18 year old players attracted 19 participants.

The Siskiyou Family YMCA will be hosting a Challenger British Soccer Camp in Yreka at the Seventh Day Adventist school field from Monday, June 21 – Friday, June 25. There are three age groups: 3-5 years old; 6-9, and 10-14. For more information go to the www.siskiyou-ymca.org

British Soccer Camps provide young players with the rare opportunity to receive high-level soccer coaching from a team of international experts right in the heart of their own community. Each British Soccer Camp provides players of all ages and abilities the appropriate program and level of curriculum and a wonderful cultural and educational camp experience!
