Talbots Women’s Scholarship
The Talbots Charitable Foundation is proud to offer a scholarship fund for women looking to pursue a college education later in life. Up to 66 scholarships totaling $120,000 will be awarded for the 2009 academic year. Applications will be available online starting November 15, 2008 at www.scholarshipamerica.org/talbotswomen. The deadline for application is January 2, 2009. Only the first 1,500 eligible applications received will be processed.

Coca-Cola Two-Year College Scholarship
The Coca-Cola Two Year Colleges Scholarship has been expanded this year to include additional scholarship opportunities. In partnership with Phi Theta Kappa, and USA TODAY, this new community college academic team seeks to honor 60 students as representatives of all outstanding community college students, offering scholarships for Gold, Silver and Bronze Scholars, as well as an additional 300 Coca-Cola Two Year finalists. Almost $500,000 for student scholarships is available through this program.  Gold, Silver, and Bronze Scholars, each consisting of 20 members, are selected. Twenty Gold Scholars will receive a $2,500 stipend, twenty Silver Scholars will receive a $1,500 stipend, and twenty Bronze Scholars will receive a $1,000 stipend. All 60 members of the All-USA Academic Team and their colleges receive extensive national recognition through coverage in USA TODAY. In addition, 300 students will be honored as finalists and will receive $1,000 each.  Selection is based on nominations submitted by community college presidents or CEOs, who receive nomination materials in the fall. The American Association of Community Colleges, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, Phi Theta Kappa and USA TODAY sponsor the All-USA Academic Team program annually. Fred Rogers Scholarship
The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation has begun accepting applications for the 2008-2009 Fred Rogers Memorial Scholarship. Three $10,000 scholarships will be awarded to students looking to pursue careers in Children’s Media in the fields of either Production of Original Content or Research.
