WEED – The College of the Siskiyous Financial Aid Office announces the following scholarship opportunities:

* Scott Valley Quilters 2010 Scholarship Award – the purpose of the Scott Valley Quilt Guild Scholarship program is to provide assistance to students who wish to pursue a career that will benefit local communities.  The scholarship will be paid directly to the school of the students’ choice to help with student expenses.  All Siskiyou County graduating high school students and COS continuing students are eligible to apply.  For more information contact Karen Markov at (530) 468-4322.  Application deadline is March 15.

* Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta and Mercy Auxiliary Scholarships – Two $1,000 scholarships are available from Mercy Medical Center, Mt. Shasta and three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded by the Mercy Auxiliary. For more information visit the Mercy Mt.
