College of the Siskiyous will offer a brand-new camp designed especially for youth ages 10 to 17 who are interested in learning about the Spanish culture. Two, week-long immersion camps have been scheduled where students will participate in fun and interactive activities including games, art, dance, and cooking. The instructor for the Spanish Immersion Camps is Guadalupe “Pita” Jimenez, who has taught language, dance, and art classes to young students in Mexico and California.
The Spanish Immersion Junior Camps will meet in July. The first session will meet July 12 – 16 and the second session will meet July 19 – 23. Both sessions will meet in the Weed Campus Emergency Training Center (ESTC) room 107 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. An enrollment fee of $67 will be charged (additional health fee may be waived based on income). Preregistration at the Weed Campus is advisable and requires a completed Special Admission Request.
