The Associated Student Body of Etna High School and the Student Council Officers are working hard to make the first annual Scott Valley Dodgeball Tournament a huge success. The tournament will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2009 beginning at 10:00 am in the Carl Smith Gymnasium. All proceeds from this tournament will be donated to the Corben Brooks Fund to aid in Corben’s recovery from a football injury he suffered earlier this year. The EHS Student Council would like to see all of Siskiyou County join this event to raise money for Corben.

There will be four age divisions: Ages 13 and under; Ages 14 to 29; Ages 30 and Over and Families. All teams are co-ed and need to have a minimum of two females on each team. There will be six players on a team and there may be one alternate but an alternate is not a requirement.  Only three members of a family team need to be related. This event is designed to include people of all ages and skill levels.

Get your teams together soon and challenge your co-workers, your classmates, and your family to do the same. If time permits, there will be a “challenges” round so teams can take on their rivals or friends.

Entry forms for the Dodgeball Tournament can be found at all Scott Valley Bank locations throughout Siskiyou County. For more information or to have an entry mailed directly to you, please contact Sherri Hanna at 467-5468.
