YREKA — Matt Dooley and Kristi Green took overall season fastest male and female awards in the Siskiyou Family YMCA’s 2009 Mountain Bike Race series.

Race coordinator Jason Singleton expressed his gratitude to volunteers Bob Singleton and Marcus Mitchinson, who worked the finish line; Starla Singleton and Cyndi Pierce at registration; and Curt and Matt Dooley for clearing the course of weeds and branches, as well as picking up all the flagging.

Singleton also said that they were able to give away more than $1500 in prizes thanks to the support of sponsors: CycleSport (www.roguecycle.com), Flywheel Bicycle Solutions (www.flywheelbicycles.com), Cycle Analysis, Badger Mountain Bikes, Drum & Bugle Corps, Price Less Foods, Raleys, and The Siskiyou Family YMCA.
