bowen-ad-rev.jpgDespite losing their last two matches, the Etna Lady Lions moved up in the playoff point rankings to ninth, and were also seeded ninth. Etna (17-17-2) will travel to Red Bluff to take on the Mercy Warriors (18-13).

Dunsmuir was ranked seventh in playoff points, but was jumped over by Evergreen League foes Big Valley and Butte Valley. By NSCIF rule, Big Valley and Butte Valley moved ahead of Dunsmuir by virtue of their higher finish in league. Big Valley won the league and was 2-0 against Dunsmuir. Butte Valley split with Dunsmuir, and finished second in league. Dunsmuir was third in the Evergreen League.

Dunsmuir (11-9) seeded tenth will travel to Orland to take on seventh seeded Providence Christian (11-10). How Providence, ranked tenth, jumped over Dunsmuir to be seeded seventh, when Dunsmuir was ranked seventh and defeated Providence twice this season is perhaps a little strange.

“Butte Valley and Dunsmuir had to be moved below Big Valley, because of league-standing. Since Providence was above Big Valley they stay above BV.” said NSCIF Commissioner Elizabeth Kyle.

Butte Valley seeded ninth (9-5) will be on the road at eighth-seeded Big Valley (11-13-3).
All matches are scheduled for Thursday, November 13 at 7:00 pm.
