bowen-ad-rev.jpgEtna Lions football, Lion Pride boosters club, and Etna HS athletics are sponsoring Kickoff ‘09 as a way to jump start the upcoming year of athletic competition at Etna High School. The festivities will include a barbecue pork dinner being served at the game, introduction of this year’s varsity football coaches and team, a ceremony honoring former Etna coach Bill Wilkins, and an after-game dance for the students.

It all takes place on Friday, Sept. 4, when the Lions host the Tulelake Honkers for the first home football game of the season. The dance will begin after the game and the JV contest is set to kickoff at 5:30 pm. The dinner will be served from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm on a pre-sale basis for the tickets which will cost $8.00. Meals can be purchased for either “dine-in” or “take-out.”

Tickets are available from any Etna athlete participating in fall sports.
