YREKA - Jeff Bourke of G&G Ace Hardware in Yreka donated $1,000 to the Siskiyou Golden Fair to help with the replacement of two livestock scale meters that were stolen in a fairgrounds robbery on July 8. One meter was part of a $5,000 beef/sheep scale project donated to the fair by the 10^th District Junior Livestock Auction Committee, a nonprofit organization staffed by volunteers. The other meter for the hog scale was purchased by the fair. The scales are used strictly for the junior livestock program. The total value of the loss was $2,000.
