The Butte Valley Bulldogs and Weed Cougars girls teams were tied, 9-9, after the first quarter on Tuesday night. However, the visiting Bulldogs grabbed a 20-17 lead going into the intermission.

Baylin Holbrook led the Bulldogs with seven points in the first half. Christine Bangert dropped in a pair of 3-pointers and a deuce to lead Weed with 8 points.

Butte Valley outscored the Cougars 13-7 in both the third and fourth quarters, to secure the 46-31 win.

Kelly Sullivan was high-point for the Bulldogs with 11. Cristal Perez and Kylie Winkle each put up 10 points in the game.

Bangert hit a trio of treys in the game, and led all scorers with 12 points. Savanna Reynolds added seven points, and Christina Amezcua contributed six points.

Butte Valley and Weed will both be competing at the Mt. Shasta Holiday Tourney, starting on Thursday.
