cos-solano-karlee-myers-text-sized.jpgROCKLIN – The College of the Siskiyous Lady Eagles basketball team defeated third seeded Sierra (26-6), 56-54, last night in the second round of the North Regional for the California Community College Women’s Basketball State Championships. The win propels the Lady Eagles (25-6) into the state championship round-of-eight.

COS advanced to the second round by defeating Solano 72-59 at home, in round one. Crissy Watts led the Eagles with 18 point—including four 3-balls, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Kristi Arness had 13 points—with three 3-pointers, and 3 steals. Karlee Myers put up 12 points and pulled down 8 boards. Amanda Harris scored 11 points, and had 4 helpers. Allyson West had a strong all-around game with 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks, and a pair of steals.

The Lady Eagles will be playing Mt. Sac on Thursday, March 13, at the University of the Pacific, at 1:00 pm.
