TULELAKE – The Etna Lions rebounded from a tough overtime loss to Bonanza the previous game by thrashing the Tulelake Honkers 41 -22, last Friday.
Etna’s six touchdowns came from brothers Alex and Lucas Case, Taylor Pehle-Munson, Travis Whittaker, Devin Franco and Andrew Peluso.
Head Coach Ken Dysert saw considerable improvement in his offense over the previous week.
“From the week before where we had probably our worst
offensive game since I’ve been there, as far as execution, to one of the better ones. It all came down to confidence from the quarterback. Execution was like night and day from the week before,” said Dysert.
Dysert was also pleased with the way his defense played, as was Defensive Coordinator Greg Hanna.
“First-team-D played really well, and we got an opportunity to get a lot of guys in on defense,” said Hanna. “Lucas Case has been playing unbelievable. Alex Case is a rock. Alex is the heart and soul of our defense.”
