YREKA – Several Yreka Miner varsity track athletes will be moving on to the division finals next Friday, at Enterprise High School, after placing in at least the top three finishers at the Northern Athletic League track championships last Friday.

Zach Stoner won both the 200m (22.37) and the 400m (48.97). Kyson Culp won the Triple Jump (42’04.75) and finished second in the Long Jump (20’08.75). The boys’ 4×400 relay team also took first with a time of 3:35.79 (Manny Barragan, Kyle Walton, Kyson Culp, Zach Stoner).

For the girls, Gina Davis won the pole vault (8’06.00). Carrie Turner finished second in the 400m (1:03.75) and the Triple Jump (32’07.25). Lindsay Scott took second in the Discus (100’10.00), and teammate Dianna Jennings finished third (94’10.00).

Kevin Jorgenson shined for the JVs with a win in the 1600m (4:44:09) and a second in the 3200 (10:56:82). In the Pole Vault, Dylan Weddle won at 10’06.00. For the girls, Tina Ballue won the Long Jump at 14’06.00.
