NSCIF D-III Track Championships (19) front

The Mt. Shasta girls track and field team won the NSCIF Division-III championship on Friday at the College of the Siskiyous.

Lisa Shinohara won the 800m (2:54.04). Kendra Woodglass took 1st in the Discus (94-06). Janelle Jaegel won the Pole Vault (7-06.00). The varsity girls 4×100m and 4×400m relay teams also finished first (53.76, 4:34.38).

The boys varsity was led by Austin Herrick, who won the 100m (11.40), 200m (23.07), and Long Jump (19-04.00). The varsity boys 4×400m Relay Team took 1st (3:38.88).

Etna
Speedster Emily Loogman won the 100m Hurdles (16.80), 300m Hurdles (48.40), and 400m race (1:03.43). Britt March won the 3200m (13:13.48).

For the Boys, Ryan Hicks won the Triple Jump (38-10.50)) and was 3rd in the High Jump (5-10.00). John Whelan won the 3200m (10:37.83).

Andy Nadig was impressive, winning the JV High Jump (5-08.00), Pole Vault (11-00.00), and Triple Jump (37-07.00), as well as taking 3rd in the Long Jump (17-07.50).

Weed
Nicolette Neel turned in the best performance for Weed, finishing 2nd in the 400m (1:08.94) and 4th in the 200m (30.52).

Tyler Moser was tops for the Weed boys, with a 2nd in the 3200m (11:04.84).
