The North Section CIF released the first football playoff point rankings of the season over the weekend.

Etna (7-2) is currently in the best position among Siskiyou County teams, ranked fourth in Division-IV, just ahead of U-Prep (5-2) and right behind Portola (7-1). Weed (1-8) is ranked tenth in D-IV

Yreka (4-4) is ranked sixth in Division-II, ahead of Orland (2-6) and behind Anderson (3-5). Mt. Shasta (3-5) is ranked sixth in Division-III in front of Trinity (2-7) and behind Live Oak (3-5).

Tulelake (0-6) is currently ranked seventh in Division-VI.

Yreka, Mt. Shasta and Etna are all in playoff position as the rankings currently stand, with Etna in line to host a playoff game. However, the rankings can still change dramatically as the teams play their final one or two games.
