The contest runs on a weekly basis from Monday to Sunday. The deadline for submissions for this week’s contest is midnight on Sunday July 1, 2012. Please submit photos in high quality jpeg format (8×10 ratio or uncropped preferred) to siskiyouyouth@sisqtel.net

Photos must be of Siskiyou County sports, and must be from an event that is no more than two weeks old at the time of the submission deadline. Sports includes Rodeo. Photos will be judged on composition, uniqueness, creativity, and technical aspects. Just a heads up: a photo-montage or the use of special effects don’t necessarily give you an advantage.

The winner will be announced next Tuesday, July 3. Winners receive a certificate for an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet at the Pizza Factory in Yreka. The winning photo will be displayed on SiskiyouYouth.com and a print version will be on display at the Pizza Factory for one week.

The contest is open to any non professional photographer. A pro photographer is someone who makes a majority of their living using a camera, or uses a camera as a major part of their job. People who do paid photography on a part time basis are eligible.

The same person cannot win two consecutive weeks.
