The Scott Valley Theater Company, which runs the historic Avery Theater in Etna, invites all interested groups to consider using the Avery Theater for events. The Avery is a 300 seat house with excellent acoustics and sound support. The Board, consisting of community members, is available to assist with planning, public relations and production of the event.
Bands of all musical genres are invited to use the Avery as a concert hall. If you are a director and need a venue for your play, the Avery would be an ideal theater for any theatrical production.
The Avery Theater is available for student productions and encourages directors and writers of all ages to contact an Avery Board member for help. Etna High Senior and promising playwright Crystal Curry wrote The Hike, an original play featuring Etna High Students. Performed at the Avery, Crystal directed the actors as well as designed the lighting, costumes and set.
If you are interested in utilizing the Avery for a production, please call board member Madeleine Ayres at 468-2980 or Rick Anderson at 467-4181. The earlier the date is on the calendar, the more successful your production will be.
