YREKA, CA— It seems like this year’s fair just ended, but it is time for the 2009 Siskiyou Golden Fair theme contest.
The Siskiyou Golden Fair is extending an invitation to residents and organizations of Siskiyou County to enter the annual theme contest. The winner of this contest has the pleasure of knowing their theme will be used in the overall advertising campaign used to promote the 2009 fair, as well as winning a cash prize.
During the fair, it will also be used to set the motif for the construction of feature booths, flower arrangements, cake decorations, and more. The 2008 fair theme was “A Mountain Fair with Country Flair.”
The theme needs to be “catchy” and easily usable in fair advertising and promotion. Just think about what the Siskiyou Golden Fair means to you and what would be a great marketing theme. Any Siskiyou County resident or organization may submit one entry. Prior winners are ineligible to participate the following year. Theme entries must be six words or less. The name of the fair is not part of the theme.
The deadline for entering this year’s contest is November 27, 2008. The winning theme will be used in its entirety or as a building block for the 2009 Siskiyou Golden Fair theme.
The author of the chosen theme will receive a cash prize of $100 plus a season pass to the 2009 fair. Entries may be mailed or hand delivered to:
Siskiyou Golden Fair Theme Contest, 1712 Fairlane Road, Yreka, CA 96097 or sent to info@sisqfair.com.
