YREKA—The Siskiyou Golden Fair will be hosting a Youth Talent Show on Saturday, August 9 at 1:00 pm on the PremierWest Bank Mall Stage for all youngsters who like to sing, dance and play musical instruments.
“This is a fun opportunity for the youth of our county to show us their stuff!” said fair CEO Rebecca Desmond.
The Youth Talent Show includes two age categories: Pee Wee (ages 4-7) and Junior (ages 8-12). Contestants can compete either as individuals or in groups. First, second and third place ribbons will be awarded in each of the two age categories.
Entry forms are available in the fair office at 1712 Fairlane Road in Yreka, or on the fair’s website at www.sisqfair.com (look for “forms” under “annual fair”).
The first eight entries received in each age category will be invited to perform at the fair. The entry deadline is July 25.
The 2008 Siskiyou Golden Fair, “A Mountain Fair with Country Flair,” runs August 6-10 in Yreka.
