Each spring SiskiyouYouth.com awards multiple scholarships. The 2010 recipients were each awarded a $200 scholarship.

Winona Croy, Discovery High School

Brent Davis, Etna High School

Michael Dugan, Mt. Shasta High School

Nicolette Neel, Weed High School

Adriana Scala, Yreka High School

Each school selected their recipient based up on a minimum requirement of a 3.0 gpa, and participation in at least two extracurricular activities. Community service, career choice, and need could also be considered, but were not part of the main selection criteria.

SiskiyouYouth.com scholarships are made possible by the support of the advertisers and sponsors, as well as a portion of each photograph sale. Weed High School was added this year to the list of schools receiving scholarships. The goal is to eventually award a scholarship to a student from each Siskiyou County High School. Schools are added based upon having advertising/sponsorship on SiskiyouYouth.com from that school’s business community.
