The purpose of the TEAMWorks! Soccer Clinic is for kids to not only grow in their skills as soccer players, but in their character as well. While learning skills that will help their ball control, passing, shooting and defending, players will also learn what it takes to be great in life.
“TEAMWorks! is about more than soccer. It’s about investing in our community and demonstrating how much God values children and families,” said Jeff Summers, Executive Pastor of the Evangelical Free Church in
The clinic is designed for different skill levels and ages, from U-6 through U-12. Each day, a different set of life skills and soccer skills will be covered and then put into practice in scrimmages. Kids who sign up will be given a camp uniform and a ball, both of which are theirs to keep when the week-long clinic is over.
Clinics run each night of the week from
“We have seen how sports have unified our community and enabled friendships to be built that would not normally have happened. It has been fun to see how many connections have lasted from last year’s TEAMWorks! Camp,” said Summers
TEAMWorks! is put on by the Evangelical Free Church of Mt. Shasta, but has been a community effort, with assistance from a wide cross-section of people.
Last year, eighty-eight players attended, from all over
More than sixty-five volunteers will be on hand to make the week happen, doing everything from coaching, to registration, to security and more.
