The Yreka Swim Team and the Scott Valley Sharks opened their swim season at the Weaverville Waves Invitational Swim Meet. Over 200 athletes competed at the meet last weekend.
The Yreka Swim Team finished fourth with 290.5 points, and Scott Valley was 7th with 114 points.
Top three finishers:
17-18 Girls – Sarah Gross (YST), 1st, 36 pts.
15-16 girls – Katie Eiler (SV), 2nd, 41 pts; Rebecca Gross (YST), 3rd, 32 pts
11-12 Girls – Kaitlyn Solano (YST), 1st, 34 pts.
15-16 Boys – Darian Darrow (YST), 3rd, 24 pts.
13-14 Boys – Michael Lawe (YST), 2nd, 42 pts.
9-10 Boys – Connor Lawe (YST), 3rd, 25 pts.

7-8 girls – Ashley Fisher (YST), 10th, 3 pts

The Sharks and YST will be in action again this Saturday and Sunday at the Shark Fest meet at the Etna pool, starting at 9:00 am both days.
